Dear mom,
Where do I begin? Thank you for all the days when you took care of me even though you did not sleep a wink, thank you for making me food, dressing me up, taking me to school, bringing me back and then feeding me, making me do my homework, playing with me and putting me to bed-all the while not caring about not getting personal time for yourself. You know I can go on and on about thanking you for everything that you have done for me.
I know I may not always be able to call or visit you, but you are always there with me, in my heart, guiding me every step of the way. I know it might not have been easy to raise me, but you have always been this boss lady that I inspire to be.
Some days I wish I could keep you wrapped up in a blanket beside me forever, but I also understand now that I cannot do that even though you wanted to do the same thing when I was younger – to keep me safe.
Mom, I want you to know that you have always been my best friend, my guiding light and my biggest cheerleader and I hope I can be half the person you are.
This day is just a formality to shower you with extra love, but you are celebrated every day.
